Comments 31 comments Sort by Date Votes Robert Juan Diepenbroek May 27, 2017 12:49 Edited The app crashes after I updated to 2.0.0 and 2.0.1, my last stable version was 1.9.1 on the Apple ios platform. I also use the Babolat PIQ / POP app and sensor which works great. This app makes more sense the way the menu structure is build. The collected data and the way it is presented is in my opinion the way the app should work, the new version is more a news bulletin. I liked the previous version of the Play app it was more intuitive. It should be simple and useful. 2 Permalink Andrew Nagy May 31, 2017 14:57 Hello - Please help your loyal Babolat Play users and update the new App! It crashes every time I try to open it - both versions 2.0.0 and 2.0.1 are bad. If you look at ITunes comments, there are many frustrated users out there! I wish I could go back to the old version that worked fine. Do not try to work around the iOS sync problem by trying to sync using windows Babolat Connect. It downloads your data but then destroys it. Your sessions are lost. 2 Permalink Robert Juan Diepenbroek June 10, 2017 09:16 Edited Thanks for the information. I wonder how many people are facing the problems with the Play app. There is very litte news from Babolat on how they are going to solve the issue, and when. I looks that a very few people are using the Play function, or there is a large group of people that don't have the issues. Hope there is a solution soon! 0 Permalink Jorge Peña June 12, 2017 17:44 I just changed my old Pure Drive Roddick and POP wristband to a new Pure Drive Play... saying I'm angry is an understatement! I can pair the racquet with the 2.0.1 Android app, but it refuses to sync. How can this problem be happening to almost everyone? Don't they test the apps first? 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 12, 2017 20:13 I am able to sync with my Pure Aero Play in iOS (most of the time it failed at 50% on first try then you just have to try again or twice before it will sync 100% ). However, it's still very buggy though, one prominent issue is the ball speed not showing (other users using pure Drive don't have this issue ) 1 Permalink Ryan DSOUZA June 12, 2017 22:32 I have the exact problem as Wilson. no ball speed very buggy cannot upload firmware 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 12, 2017 23:04 Glad to hear that ! I thought I was the only one with no ball speed. Yeah I have the same issue, everytime I sync it asked me to do firmware update which always failed so I have to skip it each time 0 Permalink Ryan DSOUZA June 12, 2017 23:09 yup a bit annoying - iOS 6, Pure drive play v2 here. Sounds like there are some issues going on, hope they get some time to fix it now that Roland Garros is finished! 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 12, 2017 23:15 I am using iOS 10.3.3, Pure Aero Play and my app is v2.0.1 Haha agreed ! Thanks! 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 16, 2017 21:41 Hi Jorge you are welcome! It's from tennis-warehouse forum https://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/index.php?threads/babolat-play-users-unable-to-sync-in-babolat-app.592075/ 0 Permalink Jorge Peña June 16, 2017 22:03 Thanks for the info! 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 19, 2017 16:26 iOS 2.0.2 update is out ! It still won't load my ball speed from my previous sessions and the firmware update still not working.I will try a new session and see how it goes. 1 Permalink Jorge Peña June 19, 2017 19:04 Android app is out too. For version 2.0.3. I can now sync the racquet but it now asks for a firmware update. This firmware update does not work. The effect is still the same. I can't use the racquet as intended. Please Babolat, what is going on? 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 19, 2017 19:35 @Jorge the firmware update was not working since 2.0.1. Oh you could still use the racket. Just click on "Later" when the firmware update failed. The app will still sync your data. 0 Permalink Jorge Peña June 19, 2017 19:38 @Wilson, thanks for the info. I saw no "later" option. I'll look for ir again. 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 19, 2017 19:39 @Jorge in iOS is on the right top corner, or try to find a way to skip the firmware update 0 Permalink Jorge Peña June 19, 2017 19:47 @Wilson, I see nothing to skip the firmware update in the Android app. 😥 0 Permalink Jorge Peña June 19, 2017 19:54 @Wilson, I see nothing to skip the firmware update in the Android app. 😥 After it gives an error ir returns to the main screen but my racquet seems not yo be fully recognized by the app. I see it's serial number, but no model. And every time I try again the app says I need to sync a racquet. I think the main issue is that this is a new racquet. It is not just the sync problem its the hole first time use / pair and sync of a racquet. 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 19, 2017 20:15 @Jorge Oh wait. It's actually on the screen where it ask you to update. Don't click update now but click on "Later" in the top right corner. I hope there'll be similar Later link in Android. 0 Permalink Jorge Peña June 19, 2017 21:05 @Wilson, thanks again for the input. I got what you meant the first time and I have no such options. I attach some screenshots. 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 19, 2017 21:07 @Jorge Oh weird that Android doesn't have that !! It must be pretty frustrating especially you tried to connect with your racket for the first time =( 0 Permalink Jorge Peña June 19, 2017 21:22 @Wilson, indeed it is. I was upgrading my gear form a POP wristband and an Pure Drive Roddick to a new Pure Drive Play, and I'm still wondering how the Play system works (the racquet is excellent, btw). Do you have any advice on how to proceed or who to contact for more help? 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 19, 2017 21:28 @Jorge. Sorry to hear that. I was using Babolat Pure Aero and recently bought Babolat Play Pure Aero. I started with 2.0.1 but luckily it's synching with iOS but have bugs here and there ( e.g missing ball speed and can't detect volley). I would suggest you go to the app and go to setting and click on "Report an Issue". I've reported many issues there and the Babolat's customer service did reply my issues in email. Give it a try :) 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 19, 2017 21:33 Oh and one last thing to try : delete your app and do a fresh install instead of doing a software update ( not sure if this helps but give it a try ) 0 Permalink Jorge Peña June 19, 2017 22:10 @Wilson, thanks, I'll do so. 0 Permalink Wilson Makgawinata June 20, 2017 04:29 Just a quick update. So they released 2.0.3 for iOS a few hours ago. I updated mine and went for serve practice and sync the sessions after. I was disappointed they still haven't fixed the missing ball speed !! 0 Permalink 1 2 › » Article is closed for comments.
